Jio Saavn is a music streaming platform for on-demand music that allows users to stream and download the songs based on the artists, genres, etc. It offers various features include filtering, toggling between songs, albums, and playlists, metadata searches for artists and music directors, etc. The songs are available in various languages like Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Kannada, and more. The mobile app is available for Android, iOS, and Windows devices. It generates revenue through the freemium model and advertisements.

Telstra Purple is the largest Australian owned technology services business, bringing together Telstra Enterprise’s business technology services capabilities and a number of its recently acquired companies, focused on outcome-based, transformative tech solutions.

Owned the P&L for, and responsible for formulating our product strategy roadmap, I lead all product initiatives, end-to-end, for the Airtel thanks app (core app product) leading a team of 20+ engineers split across 4 PODs with a vision to reach a 100 million monthly active users (MAUs).

Some of the programs launched through which we added to and engaged with our 30 million MAUs were:

In 2021, the company recorded annual revenues of $14.98B and a net profit of $0.41B

Executed the digital transformation of Airtel's B2B stack (as part of a special team put together by and reporting into the Director and CEO of Airtel Business), transforming the complete user journey from opportunity generation to cash. 

Responsibilities include designing the journey across product catalogue, order management and fulfilment, RFP generation, product evaluation, partner management and project execution.

Lead the analytics and devices wing of the technical strategy team (8 members), day to day activities included demand forecasting based on big data analytics with a sizable portion of the data forming the basis for the spectrum auctions, as well as driving niche technology features (such as VoLTE, LTE advanced, etc.) as Airtel's only technical relationship manager with global handset and chipset manufacturers shaping India's device ecosystem. 

This involved setting up and presiding over meetings with all handset and chipset manufacturers on a daily basis and presenting use cases for these niche features to drive these technology advancements into their handset models specific to the Indian markets. (Successfully implemented over 15 new features across 40+ million smartphone devices in India). Clients and partners include the likes of Apple, Samsung, Qualcomm, MediaTek, Huawei, Ericsson, etc.

Co-Authored a paper on Smartphone performance in the Indian Network presented by the GSMA chairman during his Keynote speech at the MWC'17.

Karnataka circle - In charge of 3G capacity planning for entire Karnataka circle. Planned and executed 7 new solutions for the first time in Indian network as Airtel SPOC for new technology solutions, complete with POC, planning, deployment and performance monitoring. Led ground level end to end planning and deployment of atom cells, India's first ever implementation of this technology, a feat for which Airtel was awarded at the MWC'15.

Also supported Airtel's B2B sales and marketing teams by providing specific solutions to Airtel's largest accounts in Karnataka including providing a complete connectivity plan for the Infosys campus in Bangalore and Mysore (our largest account PAN-India).

Central Strategy: Prepared the basis for Airtel's spectrum bid strategy for 2016 by providing the circle-wise demand forecast of voice and data from 2016-2020. This was achieved by analyzing the usage pattern of over 250 Mn Airtel subscribers and creating a model coupling this information with expected global shipments and predicted market conditions.
